Redesigning to Restoration Hardware’s Standards
Maintaining the integrity of this luxury home goods retailer, RRA collaborated with Seaton Wilson Architects to replicate original architectural details in renovating this 16,408 s.f. space. Through deep research of historical drawings and analysis of painted surfaces, the team retained Restoration Hardware’s signature feel while also blending into existing structures. They restored two antique clocks and revitalized the structure’s cast iron columns with new painted wood fascia and Corinthian capitals. By conforming to Restoration Hardware’s design standards, a new prototype was created for urban furniture retail stores. Special installations include new columns, display areas, a double staircase and an elevator that connects the store’s two floors.
