Roger Williams Park

A Visitor’s Gateway

COMMUNITY

Providence, RI

Ronnette Riley Architect designed a new Visitors Center and Site for Providence’s Roger Williams Park. The isolated location of the site in relation to the main body of the park posed an inherent challenge. After an intense design process, we re-imagined the boundaries of the site by linking it directly through the use of a bridge, naturally connecting the edge of the community to the center of the park. The bridging element then becomes the framework for the information center and gateway.

This project was a collaboration with Ross Barney Architects.
