RRA designed a new Visitors Center and gateway for Roger Williams Park. The isolated location of the site in relation to the main body of the park posed an inherent challenge. After an intense design process, we reimagined the boundaries of the site by linking it directly through the use of a bridge, naturally connecting the edge of the community to the center of the park. The bridging element then becomes the framework for the visitor center and gateway.
