Emergency Medical Services Station 39

COMMUNITY

Brooklyn, NY

A complete gut renovation, the 8,400sf building was stripped down to its rear and party walls and reconstructed with sustainable and energy efficient features including a new insulated roof deck featuring FDNY’s first green roof, a front façade that beckons to the neighborhood, interiors daylit with Solatubes and heating provided by solar vacuum collectors on the roof.  The facility provides support for 10 Ambulances and 75 EMT’s, paramedics and officers serving East New York.
