RRA worked with the NYC Department of Small Business Services to develop conceptual design sketches for 17 storefronts in downtown Far Rockaway with the aim of revitalizing the neighborhood’s commercial properties. Our office strived to maintain each local business’ unique character, interviewing each store owner in preparation for developing a design that addressed their immediate needs and preferences. Ten of RRA’s sketches were ultimately implemented within the downtown Rockaway commercial district.
